Prepare to enroll in Greek 2 in September! Summer Greek 1 covers all of the material presented during the full-year course in an intense, 8-week format. Students will learn the Greek alphabet, forms and grammar, and become very comfortable with reading connected Greek prose. Topics in ancient Greek culture and mythology will also be presented.
Students should be prepared to spend 1-2 hours daily, 5 days a week on Greek.The class uses the Athenaze textbook and workbook (by Maurice Balme and Gilbert Lawall, 2nd edition), which can be purchased directly from the instructor.A variety of technologies will be used to teach the course, including virtual real-time online classes, email, chat and group chat.Students will be provided a Greek font & will use this font to type answers to assignments & quizzes.
